Waiting for the new dining room table!

We sold our dining room set when we moved and we've been using a plastic banquet table and 4 folding chairs every since. We finally found a set that felt right to us. New pics very soon, I hope!

Tickle time

Tom & Will playing and cuddling.

The Church's new building is coming along...

The building was scheduled to be completed at the end of August, but you know how that goes. We are hoping to be in the new building towards the end of October. The last few Sundays we have been holding the services at different locations because the Temple we share space with needed the space. Also, because we thought we would have been gone by now, they have rented the space to another congregation, so we are having to move the service to 8:30 a.m. instead of 10:30 am. I kind of like that better because you have the rest of the whole day to spend with the family, but some people are upset that they have to get up so early!

I love the setting of the new church...I like being surrounded by the trees.

Will and Arianna

Will and Arianna at Judy's house back in May. This was the Sunday evening after Tom was voted in as their minister. Judy lives in a beautiful house in Sea Pines - right by the Fish Island area. Arianna is the daughter of Wendy (search committee member and our real estate agent) and Anthony - President of the board.

A Day At The Beach...

The beaches here are beautiful. Soft, white sand and warm (about 85-88F) water with small waves so you can actually swim and not get pummled by the waves. However, the warm water does bring jelly fish, which you see washed up all over the beach. We noticed quite a few crabs that were washed up as well. One cool thing about going to the beach here is that it's only about a 1/2 hour drive and that's with heavy traffic. Now that most of the tourists are gone, it's easier to get around.

More Fish Island Views

We took the girls to Fish Island.

Views of the Marsh

This area is amazing to see at high tide and low tide - it looks so different depending on when you see it.

A Sad Goodbye to Beloved Cousins

I am sorry that these shots are so blurry but I had to post them anyway. This was the last night Will had to spend with cousins Emily & Kelly. It was a very emotional evening for all of us. We let Will stay up late so he could have one last game of Mario Party with his video game buddies. The girls read books to Will until he went to sleep. I think that night was when he truly realized how far away we were from everyone.

Mini Golf Anyone?

We took the Kids to play mini golf at one of the many on the island. We all got attacked by mosquitos that day!

Savannah Trip

We went to Savannah for a few hours when Emily & Kelly were here. We loved the downtown section and this beautiful old graveyard. It had beautiful live oaks with the Spanish Moss, headstones so old you could barely make out the dates, but some going back to late 1700's and just an incredible sense of history.

Third Friday Party

Every third Friday there is a big community celebration in downtown Bluffton. We went last Friday and some friends Judy and Don were in the play. Judy was on the search committee and has been a great help to us in our move here.
