I Finally Have My Tests Scheduled!!!!

I'm nervous. Very, very nervous. Series 6 is on Thursday at 12 p.m. and the Series 63 on Saturday at 1 p.m. Wish me luck.

Job Update

Hi everyone! I'll be in training for the next few months - I've never had a job that had this much training before! I feel like I'm back in school. I was in Charlotte the past 2 weeks, I'm home the week of Jan 29th and then gone for the next 2 weeks - that seems to be the pattern they have us on.

The frustrating part about this is that we are still not scheduled to take our tests. The give the okay for applicants to take the test and they have a 3 month window in which to do it. We were supposed to be able to take the tests the week of Jan. 8th - but apparently there have been delays. I just want to get take and pass so I can focus on the new training that I am doing - I kind of feel like my head is going to explode! I know I will pass, but it's a bit intimidating to think that if I don't pass then they will take me out of the training I'm in, have me study full time to retake the test and if I don't pass then...I'm out of a job! Just a little pressure.

Wishing his Friend Could Come Back & Play

We finally met Taylor's parents yesterday at the Snow Day and we set up a play date for them at our house this afternoon. The boys had fun for the 3 - 4 hours he was over - even though they are very different personalities. After Taylor's dad picked him up, Will was sad and just sat outside wondering when Taylor would be back to play.

Snow Day in the South!!

Yesterday was the second annual Hilton Head Island Snow Day. There was a large group from our church that volunteered to sell tickets...lots of fun, and lots of people - over 3,000! Will didn't want to go by the snow - he informed me that he is allergic to snow! Who knew?!
He did meet up with his friend Taylor and they both had a great time together jumping on the bouncers and running around.

I'm Off to Charlotte, N.C.

I'm leaving for Charlotte in a few minutes. It's about a 4 hour drive and I hear it's not too bad. I'll be there until Friday night, come home for the weekend then go back up on Monday for more training. Don't like being away so much, but there's just a couple of months of this, so we can handle that. At least in the evening I can do paperwork and read!

I was so upset this morning because I forgot to take the camera with us for the Martin Luther King, Jr. March on Hilton Head! There were quite a few U.U.'s in attendance and probably about 2,000 people. It was fun and it made Tom want to get involved in the planning for next year!
