Up Close & Personal With The Gorilla

We had to almost drag Will to come into this exhibit - he just wanted to get through the zoo and he thought we already passed this, so why go back?

He was glad he did come in because this gorilla came and sat right by where Will was standing (on the other side of the very thick glass of course). It scared Will when this guy sat down, but it was pretty cool!

Does this make my butt look big?!?!

A Bridge To The Past

If we didn't stop to read this sign, we would have completely missed the old bridge under the one we were standing on. We just went to see the river that borders the zoo and found this interesting story. Makes me think of how it might have been like back in the Civil War.

Enjoying the Zoo

Will had fun at the zoo. Like his freshly made tie-dyed shirt and socks?!!!

More Elephants for Mom

Elephants for Mom

Some beautiful elephants that live at the Columbia Zoo. Tom took some of these pictures when he went with Will in mid July. Some of the shots are from our trip last Sunday. We were right up close to them so we got a great view of them.

When Are They Going to Come Back?

Relaxing in the backyard

I honestly don't know why my toes amuse me so much, do you?

Because they had to get to the other side, of course!

Coming home from work the other day I had to wait for these two ducks to cross the road. Glad I had my camera!

Tie Dying Wears You Out!

How can those people get upset at me? They were the ones who didn't get me a shirt and I think they are forgetting that, by the way.

Can you see how pink and adorable my tounge is?

Who Made This Mess???!!!!

This has got to be the most expensive family craft project ever. I thought it would be fun to get t-shirts for each of us and tie-dye them.
I guess CoCo was upset that she didn't get a shirt, because when Tom & Will were upstairs and I was in the office, CoCo got the box, ripped up the directions, two plastic bottles with blue and pink dye and got it all over the living room!

We tried unsuccessfully to clean it up, but the dye continued to get worse. We definitely needed new carpet in the living room, but we thought it was going to wait for a year or so. Now we definitely need to get this fixed.

We got a good laugh out of this - but that will probably subside with we get the bill to get this fixed!

Tom & Will drove up to Calico Ghost Town

Puppyman's Tree

Our Puppyman is laid to rest under this tree...

It sure has gotten big in the last year. Probably due to some Puppyman magic! I sure miss him

The Scare Bear

This bear was actually given to my Grandma & Grandpa as a gift for their 50th Wedding Anniversary - it was made out of one of their old bedspreads. I don't know if Grandma knows it's in the garden like this. If Grandpa knows, I bet he would get a kick out of it!!
