Problem With Blogger

I have more ph.otos to post, but Blogger won't upload right now - will post later

Trick or Treat Gang

Will's Trick or Treat buddies. The 'witch' with the green hair is Audry - she lives on the next block over, goes to Will's school and they share the same birthday! She told me tonight that they were pretending to be married! The other two, Ruby and Brianna are friends of Audry's Mother.

He had a great time but at first he wouldn't leave the yard. Once he got into it though, he had fun.

I Vant To Suck Your Blood.....

Will's Favorite Halloween Decoration

Will loves this. It's motion activated with 3 different sayings (that he keeps repeating). Her eyes pop out and she sticks out her tounge. All the other kids enjoyed it too during the trick or treating tonight!

Getting the Yard Ready for Trick or Treaters

People go WAY out here decorating their yards for Halloween. I can only imagine what it will be like at Christmas!

A Sick Day for William

Last week Will was sick for a couple of days. He had a cold and fever so he was home for two days. In these pictures he was feeling much better - he was trying to make 'sick' faces! He also insisted on taking a picture of me! Uggghhh!!!

The Old Master Bedroom

The New Master Bedroom

Again, working on adding new artwork and plants, but right now this works. I like having much more space in the bedroom...it's quite nice.

The New Master Bath

I still want to add some plants, new artwork and make curtains...eventually!

Another Game of Mini Golf

Tom and Will went out to play mini golf Sunday and had a great time. But right now, Will is sick - he has a fever of about 101 and is sound asleep on the couch. Poor little guy!

Still a long way to go!

Out with Mary Alice

Mary Alice was so sweet yesterday...she treated me to a wonderful lunch and showed me the beautiful Palmetto Bluff area.

Mary Alice and her husband, Bill were co-chairs of the search committee that brought Tom to Hilton Head. They are both very sweet and they continue to offer Tom, Will and me support as we get settled in our new life here.

Palmetto Bluff

Friday afternoon I met Mary Alice for lunch at Palmetto Bluff. I had never been there before, although I had driven by it numerous times and had no idea how beautiful this place was. There is a village with shops and restaurant and a huge spa and resort...very expensive and private and it's all on the May River.

The second picture is a pet cemetary - look at some of the dates - early 1900s! The ruins are from the original plantation house from - they have since built a new one.
I took a shot of the view from the chappel - wish it came out better. What a perfect setting for a wedding! I need to take Will and Tom here so they can see it! Nice spot for a picnic.

Tonight we went to the Bluffton 3rd Friday Party. They had costume contests for the kids and animals. Will met up with some friends from school and they chased each other around for most of the night.

I don't know who the little cave girl is, but she was so adorable that I had to take a picture of her!

Going over the Savannah River on the Talmadge Bridge

I used to be scared to go over this huge bridge - but now I really enjoy it. I love the clouds in this picture.

Yeah, I probably shouldn't be taking pictures while I'm driving, but I just hold the camera up and press the button and sometimes they come out!

I found a picture of the bridge and the following info on it:

Completed in 1991 the new Talmadge Memorial cable-stayed bridge replaced the old cantilever truss bridge which had become a danger for large shipping entering the port in Savannah, Georgia. The new bridge provides 185 ft., 56.4 m. of vertical navigational clearance. With a main span of 1100 ft., 335 m. and a total length of 1.9 miles, 3.06 km., the new Talmadge Memorial carrier 4 lanes of traffic over the Savannah River with great beauty and style.

Savannah Street Shots

There are so many wonderful old buildings. Some of these are from the late 1800's and they have so much texture and character to them that they look like works of art!

I really enjoy the feel of the historic district in Savannah. This was the street my interview was on!

Historic Savannah

I had a job interview this morning in the historic district of Savannah. I parked my car and while I was looking for change for the meter, this horse & carriage stopped right by my window! So I had to get a quick picture.
