That IS a good picture! One of the symbols on the scarf looks like a musical note. What are the meanings of the symbols and what is it called (can't be scarf) and why does he wear it? Just curious.

I'm glad to be back, too!
Tom is wearing his Stole, which he wears for all of his sermons. Sometimes he will wear his robe with the stole over it - but that's mainly for special services or preaching at a different congregation.
It was given to him by members of the Monte Vista church for his ordination. The symbols on the stole represent a smaller version of the banners that are hung at Monte Vista - vines, sunbursts, clouds.

Wonderful picture of Reverend Tom! It is so good to see you back on line. Hannah's blog is waiting for pictures from Erin and she has tried twice to email them to me but I have not received them. Don't know what is wrong!
