Apparently this bird and its mate have taken up residence in one of the ferns on our front porch. I was watering the ferns and all seemed okay, but soon after the two birds came by to keep guard. I like the way this bird looks...I will have to keep an eye on him.

He is certainly keeping an eye on you! Quite a handsome bird he is, too. The vivid blue of the sky looks beautiful, especially next to the bright and healthy green of the leaves. Very nice pictures to look at while I am missing you.
Thanks Mom. He took off shortly after I got the camera...of course. The tree he's sitting on is the one Tom planted about 2-3 weeks ago. When that tree grows up it will provide a lot of shade for us and the birds!
