For lunch yesterday I decided to go to this park I discovered last week. It's only 5-10 minutes from my office, so I went there to have lunch and then a look around. I find it very beautiful and peaceful there. While I was having lunch a dad and his son arrived with their fishing poles and headed down to the marsh.
The marsh is typical Lowcountry. When I got down to the observation site and really looked at the ground I was amazed to see everything moving. It was low tide and all the hermit crabs were very busy moving around and living their lives. I took some pictures of them but I don't think you can make them out very easily.

Wow! What a great field trip, and so close to your work. Very nice!
What a lovely park. Thank you for sharing that with us. I loved reading the signs that explain what I'm looking at. You know what? I got the idea that you could also start sketching some of the flora and fauna, like the trees and the birds and crabs displayed. You can be like Laura and Sandy...start out playing around with pencils and progress to beautiful portraits in oil or pastels or watercolors. It was really clear in my head while I was reading the signs. Or not. No pressure. But it wouldn't surprise me with your growing interest in photography that other artistic endeavors will develop. Pun intended.
Forgot to ask...did everything moving give you a sense of dizziness? Must have seemed a bit surreal at first.
great idea Arlene...I think she would enjoy sketching scenes of the area where she lives.
I enjoyed seeing all the photos.
