My Try For Tonight

Intercoastal Waterway Shots

Thanksgiving morning (yeah, I'm way behind!) after we volunteered at the Turkey Trot race. These are on Pinckney Island - a tiny island right before you get over to Hilton Head. The bridge is what I drove over every day going to work. Some mornings and evenings I am treated to the site of dolphins swimming & coming up for air. That never fails to bring a smile to my face and remind myself that I live in a beautiful place!

These were taken over on Pinckney Island on Thanksgiving morning after the Turkey Trot.

Old Pictures

Billy sent these to me and I wanted to share them with you. They are from our family trip back to Oklahoma in 72? The top one is me with my second cousins and my Great Aunt Ina (who recently passed away at age 90) - Grandma Gordon's little sister.
The bottom picture is of us (without Dad) I love the expressions on everyone's face. Steve looks adorable in his outfit! Ronny looks so much like Will when Will was younger. This was fun to see these! Thanks Billy!!!!

Dog Sitting

We are dog sitting for a member of our congregation who is having some medical treatment out of town. We will have 'BoBo' until Wednesday. Isn't that weird...our other dog was named CoCo! BoBo is a 2 year-old male - pretty well behaved and LOVES tennis balls. We threw the ball for him for quite a while before it got dark. The balls got very frothy, because BoBo is a bit of a slobbery guy! We have allowed him to bring in one chew bone/toy and Tom has been trying to teach him to leave it on his snout and then try to catch it in his mouth. Progress is slow.

Will likes BoBo and seems much more comfortable with him than with CoCo. We've decided to see how things go after Wednesday and then reconsider getting another dog. It's definitley different owning a dog when you're the parent than having a dog when you're a kid! It was much easier then!! Thanks Mom & Dad :-)

Emily

I took some pictures of Emily when she was asleep last summer - she's a good subject to practice on!

Sandy & Billy Back In The Day

Found this old picture taken at the San Dimas house (dig that wall paper, huh?!) Those were fun times and I thought I'd try to capture it. Didn't get it, but I've decided that I am going to go ahead and post anyway!

The Purty Kurete's

I tried to do one of the my beautiful nieces. They sent us a Christmas Card with their picture on it and I used that for the model (it's a little different from the picture at top).
Practice does make one better, huh? I haven't tried anything for a few days and thought I'd try again.

Clearly Not Very Good - But, Oh, Well!!

This picture was taken on Christmas at our house in San Dimas. I think it was in 1985 or 86. Grandma looks so pretty, doesn't she? I didn't get them at all in the sketch I attempted, but what the hey...thought I'd put it up anyway.
Don't know the reason for wanting to sketch - or why I feel the need to put these up, even if they're not very good, but I'm just going with it. My new motto.

Pam Pirkle & Me

A sketch of a picture taken just before Tami's wedding...

I think I Captured Grandpa a Little

Not so much for Will & Dad though.

For Mom...

Here is the sketch I did this afternoon of Dad and Me. I've never tried to sketch like this before, but I had an urge to try. This is just a photo of it, but I'll try to get the scanner to work so it will be a clearer image.

I think I will try to sketch a little bit more - it was fun!

Today On The May

Right before noon today I drove down to the May River (about 5 minutes away from home). It was about 38 degrees so it was quite cold, but very beautiful!
