Two years ago at this time we were waiting for the arrival of my niece Hannah! This year, we are anticipating a possible arrival of Tropical Storm/maybe Hurricane Hanna. I hope not, but you can never be sure. Hilton Head has always been pretty lucky from what I've heard - we always seem to escape any direct impact.
I went over to the Island this morning and went to Mitchellville Beach (same place Emily & I went to) to take some pictures and see what was going on with the sea. Usually it is almost like a lake - very soft, little waves. Today it was much more like the Pacific. Believe it or not, these waves are kind of big for out here! It was pretty windy, very muggy and about 85 degrees. The water tempature has dropped from the last time Emily and I were here - it's now about 80-82 degrees.
I was impressed with watching the sea - just imagining what people in the gulf coast states were experiencing with Gusav - it's kind of scary.

Oh ..I didn't see these photos that were below the video. I thought that was your first recent update.
Yes the irony is kind of weird, with Hannah two years ago on Labor day...and now Hanna on her way.
Well at least the storm will be filled with lots of personality.
Hahaha...lots of personality...funny! I had just told Ron and Erin that there was now a Hurricane Hannah, and they said they've been experiencing it for two years!
Beautiful pictures of a stormy ocean and sky!!
That's funny! This storm seems to have a mind of its own and is keeping the forecasters guessing. Does that sound like any one we know?
