'We Remember Them'
In the rising of the sun and in its going down, we remember them.
In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember them.
In the opening of buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember them.
In the blueness of the sky and in the warmth of summer, we remember them.
In the rustling of leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart, we remember them.
When we have joys we yearn to share, we remember them.
So long as we live, they too shall live, for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
From Roland B Gittelsohn (Adapted)
I have to use someone else's words now, because I don't have my own words to share yet. I am so sad and I still don't believe this is true.

Those are beautiful and true words. It is so difficult to believe this really happened. I would love to talk with you anytime you feel you might want to talk. Sudden passings like this are more difficult to accept because everything was going along normally...and a second later the whole world is different for the loved ones. I've always wondered how the world could go on and everyone is acting normally in their lives when there is such a big vaccum left after a loved one's passing. It is surreal, isn't it?
Oh that was so beautiful, so touching. I know what you mean about using other people's words. All attempts at explaining seem to fall short and flat. Thank God for the poets and musicians who can use sound to express, share and perhaps, alleviate our pain.
And CM, I agree with you. It makes you want to scream at them that everything has changed, and ask why can't they understand that?
I love the pictures you posted. That is the shirt I sleep with every night. Thank you for this meaningful, bittersweet post.
Nice post Rebecca...its' just all so sad.
I've wanted to talk to you and see how you are doing, but I can't find a #. I told Laura I need to get it from her...
